RE: SUPPLIER REGISTRATION IN THE ELECTRONIC GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENT SYSTEM
The National Treasury is rolling out an end-to-end Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) system that will replace the current manual procurement system in all Procuring Entities in both the National and County Governments effective 1st July, 2025. In the new e-GP system, procurements will be conducted electronically/online right from bidding to contract management stage.
The purpose of this notice is to communicate this policy change and the Government’s move to change the conduct of procurement system in the public sector as per the National Treasury Circular No. NT/PPD/1/3/14 VOL.VI (46). This is to request you to register your company(ies) in the e-GP portal so as to be eligible to participate in future public procurement proceedings.
The National Treasury as per the mentioned circular directs that Suppliers/Contractors/Consultants to self-register on the e-GP portal accessible through www.egpkenya.go.ke. Suppliers are also requested to note the following:
- Suppliers/Contractors/Consultants may contact the support address indicated below in case of challenges faced during registration: Email address: support@egpkenya.go.ke Telephone: +254 (020) 3341030/3340400/3340433;
- Suppliers/Contractors/Consultants within Nairobi may visit e-GP offices situated on 6th Floor, Room 622 Treasury Building, Harambee Avenue to receive registration assistance between 9.00am — 4.00pm;
- Suppliers/Contractors/Consultants may also visit The National Treasury desk in all Huduma Centres during the office working hours;
- Supplier Registration Module manual is available on the e-GP Portal; and
- The National Treasury will organize weekly supplier registration webinar every Thursday. Suppliers will be required to register for training through links provided on www.egpkenya.go.ke under Supplier Training. Only suppliers who have registered for training will be invited to the webinar.
Suppliers are requested to note that as from 1st July 2025 all government procurement will be through the e-GP System and registration of suppliers in the system is prerequisite.
