A review of work done by KENTTEC in the region was done. Remarkable results from the activities carried out since the year 2008 when baseline survey of African Animal Trypanosomiasis (AAT) and the Entomological tsetse surveillance was done. At the time, the measure of tsetse fly population density (FTD) was over 100. This dropped to 1 by year 2012 which also brought down disease prevalence below 1%.

HE the Governor, was informed that the African Animal Trypanosomiasis Progressive Control Pathway (PCP) has placed Baringo County at stage 2 advanced.

The Governor directed a sensitization for MCAs and technical officers in the County to be planned and carried out as other activities are done to move the County to PCP stage 3.
