
The KENTTEC Board Chairman Dr. Geofrey Mutai, Director Ali Hassan and Director Halima Ahmed together with KENTTEC Management led by Dr. Seth Onyango, KENTTEC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) today had a consultative meeting with His Excellency Abdi Dagane, Deputy Governor of Garissa County on Tsetse and Trypanosomiasis surveillances in the County.

That was followed by a consultative meeting on the same with the Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Pastoral Economy of the County and other stakeholders including the Regional Veterinary Investigation Laboratory (RVIL) of Garissa, Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS) and Conservancies.

Before the Consultative meetings, the KENTTEC Board and Management paid a courtesy call to the County Commissioner’s office of the County. During the meetings, there was sensitization on KENTTEC and its activities followed by planning for the training of the stakeholders, tsetse surveillance and African Animal Trypanosomosis (AAT) surveillance. The programme for the activities was agreed upon and support for the activities from the stakeholders was assured.
