
Kenya Tsetse Trypanosomiasis Eradication Council (KENTTEC) today is in collaborative tree planting exercise with Kenya Agriculture and Livestock Research Organization -Veterinary Science Research Institute (KALRO -VSRI). The team led by Dr. Seth Onyango -CEO KENTTEC and Dr. Moses Olum -Deputy Director-KALRO – VSRI participating at KALRO MUGUGA.

Tree planting is in line with the government campaign aimed at reducing greenhouse emission, stopping and reversing deforestation by planting 15billion trees in ten years from 2020.

In seven years, KENTTEC and KALRO -VSRI shall have greatly contributed to the government’s bid of reaching 30% tree cover in Kenya.
